We started our hobby farm several years ago, first raising vegetables and fruits, then adding chickens, rabbits and goats.

We found rabbits took too much time, and we developed the "bunny rabbit" syndrome when it was time to harvest them for meat.  The goats were to pushy and destructive to the fruit trees, so they were sent down the road, so to say.
We kept the chickens, as they keep us supplied with eggs, aren't that difficult to take care of, and are fun to watch.  They are allowed to free range part of the day, foraging for bugs and other treats.

We have also added some muscovey ducks, which are also fun to watch in their daily activities.

CATTLE ON PASTURE AT TRIANGLE MINI FARM

After much thought we decided to purchase two commercial Angus cattle, to keep the grass cut!!  From there, we obtained several Holstein steers which we raised for market.

Then we added several more cows, of varying pedigrees to the herd.  The next problem was producing babies, we were not having much luck having the girls get pregnant from AI'ing, so we decided we needed a BULL!!

So the search began, and we discovered the Australian Lowline Angus Breed on the Internet,
we went to look at them at a farm in Wisconsin, went home, thought about it, and decided to purchase a Full-Blood Lowline Bull.

And then the FUN began!
